I am thrilled to read about Nic at Irresistible Reads and Nomes from inkcrush's Aussie YA Reading Challenge for 2011. Over the few years in particular, Australian writers have produced some amazing young adult fiction, and I'm looking forward to being able to share more of it with you in 2011.
Here are the Challenge Rules from Irresistible Reads:
Australian participants - Read at least 12 young adult books by Australian authors from 1st January, 2011 to 31st December, 2011.
International participants - Read at least 6 young adult books by Australian authors from 1st January, 2011 to 31st December, 2011.
They can be old or new titles, however no re-reads.
So far, I'm pledging to read:

I'm itching to read so many Aussie YA books! I haven't signed up for any challenges for next year but I'm planning to do so for this one. :)
Thanks for signing up! Love your list and some are on mine like Jarvis 24 and Angel Creek. This year has had so many amazing Aussie YA books like The Piper's Son, Six Impossible Things and This Is Shyness (which I am reading now) and I can't wait to see what is coming out next year!

yay! I'm doing this too. all of your picks sound new to me, except for Jarvis 24. I'll have to check them out!
I loved 'Good Oil' :) An oldie (first published in 1996) that I missed at the time and have only just read is Wendy Orr's 'Peeling the Onion' - most excellent!
